EasiestSoft Video Converter is intended not only to transcode clips but also to edit them. The tool supports virtually every video format as both input and output. In terms of editing features, the application is definitely not as rich as a real video editor; yet, what it can do is enough to compose your own clip.

As said, the converter can import video in many formats. However, it does not support recording footage directly from your webcam or capturing images from your computer screen, something that many other converters can do. Good news is that you can import and process multiple files as a batch. Luckily, its developers have made an effort to make choosing an output format as less traumatic as possible, because there are several presets organized according to their supporting devices. It is too bad that all files in the list have to be converted using the same output profile.

In terms of video editing, there are multiple operations you can do with this program. First, you can combine different segments extracted from the source clips to create your own sequence. Unfortunately, it is not possible to extract more than one segment from the same source clip, but you can avoid this limitation by importing the same file several times. As to subtitles, you can embed them from external files and have full control of their appearance. Likewise, the tool has a lot of built-in visual effects, some of which are very nice. All these features would not be of any use if the application did not work as expected. Luckily, when tested, the converter produced good results and required a reasonable amount of time for that.

All in all, EasiestSoft Video Converter can satisfy the needs of undemanding users. Unfortunately, it is too similar to other converters, almost a clone, so it has nothing new to offer. The good side of this is that, if you have previous experience with this type of software, learning to use this one is just a breeze.
